equipment. Depending upon the availability of replacement parts,
we can offer you a personal service that will see your old
collection back on its wheels. Although we specialise in the
products of the Tri-ang and Tri-ang Hornby era, we can service and
repair most makes of British outline model railway equipment in both 'N'
and 'OO' gauges.The form below should be used to contact us for a personal repair quotation.
Please don't send models for repair until you have completed and sent
the form below and received a positive response from
us. Remember to include as
much information as possible about the model, and the problem.
The
basic price for servicing and repair, is £25.00 per locomotive plus any
spare parts required and return postage. This
cost includes a non-refundable £5.00 (per loco) inspection fee, payable
when you send us the locomotive(s).
Please ensure that items
sent for repair
are well packaged as we cannot be held responsible for any damage in
transit, if possible, use the manufacturers original packaging.
Please include sufficient stamps or cash to cover the return
postage.
Please consider carefully which postal service you use to send
your model to us, we will generally return the package by the same
service you used to send it to us. Royal Mail levels of compensation
for loss or damage vary depending upon which postal service you choose.
We will not be responsible for models lost, damaged or delayed in
transit. Any claims for compensation must be made by you directly
to Royal Mail or other carriers as appropriate. If the package is
lost or damaged on the return journey, we will provide you with the
certificate of postage so that you can claim any compensation due.
Sorry, but we don't repair DCC fitted locomotives.
if you can, please remove the DCC chip and replace it with a blanking
plate before sending the loco for repair.
Additionally, we don't repair DAPOL models, we would suggest
you contact DCC
Supplies as they are the approved DAPOL service agent.
If your model is less than 6 months old, it should be returned to the shop
from where it was purchased. The first point of call for models
less than 10 years old, especially those made in China, should always be the original
manufacturer. They
should have access to any spare parts that may be required to complete
the repair. Both Bachmann and Hornby have excellent customer
service departments.
